An information processing apparatus connected the printing apparatus through predetermined communication media inquires of the recording sheet-type information set in the printing apparatus. Since the recording sheet-type information is informed from the printing apparatus, the information processing apparatus indicates the recording sheet-type information informed from the printing apparatus.
