Abstract

A wireless digital telecommunications system which comprises a terminal and a main transmitter which transfers broadcast services to the terminal in a multiplexed frame format at one frequency, the system also comprising an auxiliary transmitter which is synchronized with the main transmitter and sends broadcast services to the terminal in a predetermined time slot of the main transmitter's multiplex frame. The time slot intended for the auxiliary transmitter is determined in the control and identification data field of the main transmitter's multiplex frame. The system also comprises at least one server which transmits terminal-specific subscriber services and from which there is a data transmission connection to the auxiliary transmitter, which is arranged to send terminal-specific subscriber services to terminals. The terminals are able to establish a data transmission connection to the server transmitting terminal-specific subscriber services, the data transmission connection being used for supplying orders of subscriber services to the server.
