Abstract
A porous sintered body in which the leaching amounts of heavy metals are small and having high availability contains 0.5-15 weight % of B.sub.2 O.sub.3, preferably contains 20-60 weight % of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 18-60 weight % of SiO.sub.2, 1-12 weight % of the sum of Na.sub.2 O, K.sub.2 O, Li.sub.2 O, and P.sub.2 O.sub.5, 1-30 weight % of the sum of CaO, SrO, BaO, and MgO, and 0.5-15 weight % of B.sub.2 O.sub.3.
