Abstract
A coal formation may be treated using an in situ thermal process. A mixture of hydrocarbons, H.sub.2, and/or other formation fluids may be produced from the formation. A portion of the mixture may be a condensable component that includes a relatively small amount of olefins and a relatively small amount of tri- and higher order aromatics.
