Abstract
A hydrocarbon containing formation may be treated using an in situ thermal process. A mixture of hydrocarbons, H.sub.2, and/or other formation fluids may be produced from the formation. The produced mixture may include hydrogen and ammonia. The mixture may be separated into condensale hydrocarbons, non-condensable component, and an aqueous phase. The ammonia may be recovered from the aqueous phase. H.sub.2 may be separated from the non-condensable component.
