Abstract
A computer-implemented method is disclosed comprising: associating a first multimedia clip with synchronization data, the synchronization data identifying Internet objects/content to be transmitted to a client at specified times during playback of the first multimedia clip at the client; transmitting the synchronization data to the client; and streaming the first multimedia clip to the client, the client downloading Internet objects/content identified by the synchronization data at the specified times during playback of the first multimedia clip. Also disclosed is a segment file comprised of: a multimedia segment; one or more pointers identifying Internet objects/content to be transmitted to a client; and timing data indicating times during playback of the multimedia segment for displaying the Internet objects/content.
