Device driver 30 has initialization process 31, main process 32, and end process 33. A method for operating device driver 30 comprises a step of encrypting a program code portion of main process 32 of device driver 30, decrypting the program code portion in initialization process 31 of device driver 30, and re-encrypting the program code portion after it is executed and before device driver 30 is released.
