The invention relates to a method and a device for roof shingle-like displaying of sliced products, in particular of slices of food cut from bars of food. The slices are deposited on a display area. A measuring apparatus is provided, measuring at least one dimension of the product. The cut slice of the product is positioned on the display area on the basis of this information.
