Abstract
A device to analyze or reconstruct one or more signals Ij coming from one or more light sources, comprises: means to separate the signals I.sub.j into at least two signals I.sub.j1 and I.sub.j2, at least two channels V.sub.1, V.sub.2 respectively possessing a gain G.sub.1, G.sub.2 and a dynamic range D.sub.1, D.sub.2, said channels having at least one sensor and being adapted to obtain, at output, a signal I'.sub.j1, I'.sub.j2 with amplitudes A.sub.j1(t), A.sub.j2(t), a device for the processing of the signals I'.sub.j1, I'.sub.j2 adapted to memorizing the amplitude A.sub.j1(t), A.sub.j2(t) of at least one of the two signals I'.sub.j1, I'.sub.j2 when I'.sub.j1 and/or I'.sub.j2 is below a threshold value S.sub.max and to determining the amplitude A.sub.j(t) of the corresponding signal I'.sub.j. Streak camera with wide range of amplitude.
