The invention relates to the nucleic acid and polypeptide sequences of five novel human NOC2-related gene variants. The invention also provides a process for producing the polypeptides of the variants. The invention fierier provides a use of the nucleic acid and polypeptide sequences of the gene variants in diagnosing non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), in particular, large cell lung cancer.
