Abstract
The present invention provides compositions of 1,3-.beta.-glucanosyltransf-erase (Gel-1) antigens and polynucleotides encoding the Gel-1 antigens, which Gel-1 antigens are useful for generating an immunological response in an individual and in therapeutic and diagnostic applications of infections due to pathogenic Coccidioides spp. fungi, such as C. immitis or C. posadasii.
