Abstract
A versatile and mobile keyboard and an advantageous wireless data transmission method are provided. The keyboard may be used with a variety of mobile devices such as PDAs, cellular phones, and tablet PCs, through various interfaces such as an IR, USB, or Bluetooth.TM. interface. In particular, an IR head clamp assembly is provided that includes an IR head and a clamp body for attaching to a mobile device proximate the IR port of the mobile device. Advantageously, the IR head clamp assembly ensures high communication performance between the keyboard and the mobile device. The wireless data transmission method of the present invention is efficient and advantageously prevents erroneous characters from being displayed.
