Abstract
The invention concerns a base station (100) comprising a transmission antenna (1) consisting of several radiating elements (2) for transmitting one or more radio signals (E.sub.1, E.sub.2, , E.sub.N) to one or more addressee terminals (200). Said radio signals are generated from signal components (S.sub.1, S.sub.2, , S.sub.M) to which are applied phase shifts (D.sub.1, D.sub.2, , D.sub.N). The adjustment of said phase shifts brings about a systematic fluctuation of at least one transmitting direction of the antenna during the transmission of the radio signal, so as to provide diversity of propagation paths.
