A method for transforming data from one data schema to another including receiving a source data schema and a target data schema, mapping the source data schema into an ontology model, mapping the target data schema into the ontology model, and deriving a transformation for transforming data conforming to the source data schema into data conforming to the target data schema, using the ontology model.
