Abstract
Improved daily ration mammal feeds are provided which include minor amounts of active such as heartworm preventative drugs, in order to ensure that a mammal consuming the feed receives quantities of active sufficient to establish and maintain substantially constant concentrations of the active in the pet's bloodstream. The feeds may be produced by methods including extrusion with addition of minor quantities of active therein so as to uniformly distribute the active throughout the product.
