The present invention relates to methods for producing an aerated protein polymeric composition and the resultant product. In particular, the present invention relates to an aerated polymeric composition, wherein a dry blend, a leavening agent, and a plasticizing slurry are used to form a composition that ultimately forms the resultant product.
