The aim of the invention is to provide a method for producing a metal sheet, especially a steel sheet, at least one surface of which is provided with a surface structure that provides as structural elements depressions and/or elevations, and which metal sheet is substantially resistant to scratches and finger prints. According to the inventive method, the surface structure is configured as a random microstructure.
