Abstract
The invention relates to a device for a particle separator (10) for separation of particles in a liquid, gas or both, where the separator comprises an outer cylinder (12), or tank, which is equipped with an upper inlet opening (14) and an upper and a lower outlet opening (16, 18) for export of liquid/gas and particles, respectively. Furthermore, the separator comprises a shaft (22) equipped with a number of vanes or blades (24), that are arranged to be driven by an adjoining motor (20). A centrally placed pipe-formed inner cylinder (26) is arranged around the shaft (22) with said vanes or blades (24), where the inner cylinder comprises a number of slits (36). The invention also relates to a method for separation of particles in a liquid and/or gas.
