Abstract
Routing telecommunications traffic is provided. A network (302) sends/receives the telecommunications traffic (308). A sub-network (304) for receives/sends the telecommunications traffic (308) from/to the network (302). Routing devices (310a,b) route the telecommunications traffic (308) in the sub-network (304) according to a redundancy protocol. A criteria (316) relates a condition of the network to the redundancy protocol, thereby causing the routing devices (310a,b) to route the telecommunications traffic (308) according to the condition in the network (302).
