Abstract
The present invention provides a miticide that brings about a significantly remarkable mite controlling effect over a long period of time. The miticide of the present invention contains (a) an acylacetonitrile compound represented by Formula (1): wherein R.sup.1 is --C(O)ZR.sup.2; R.sup.2 is a C.sub.1-6 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 haloalkyl, C.sub.2-4 alkenyl, C.sub.2-4 alkynyl, (C.sub.1-6 alkoxy)C.sub.1-4 alkyl, (C.sub.1-4 alkylthio)C.sub.1-4 alkyl, or benzyl group; Z is an oxygen or sulfur atom; X and Y independently represent a halogen atom or a C.sub.1-6 alkyl or C.sub.1-4 haloalkyl group; m and n independently represent an integer from 1 to 3; and each m X's and each n Y's may be the same or different, and (b) chlorfenapyr.
