Abstract
In order to produce a yarn with tactile characteristics simulating those of natural cotton, a continuous multi-strand synthetic yarn (F) is produced, particularly by an air-texturing process. The yarn is then treated by abrasive processing or other mechanical processing, by which some of the continuous strands are broken to generate short fibers which project from the body of the yarn.
