A system and method for allowing non-real time communication protocol enabled devices to participate in real-time communication protocol scenarios, comprising: discovering at least one non-real time communication protocol enabled device; logging on to at least one real-time communication server; assigning a unique real-time communication protocol identity to the at least one non-real time communication protocol enabled device; assigning a service proxy for the at least one non-real time communication protocol enabled device; and adding the unique real-time communication protocol identity to the at least one real-time communication server.
