Abstract
A system, method, and computer program product are provided for automatically identifying pricing changes and issuing rebates based on pricing changes occurring between a time of purchase and the usage time of a selected product option that has been previously purchased from a product database. The system of the present invention interrogates the product database, such as a travel reservation system, for current pricing corresponding to the selected product option and automatically compares the purchase price of the selected product option to the current pricing in order to determine if a user of the system should be issued a credit based on the difference between the purchase price and current price of the selected product option.
