Abstract
A method for fabricating optical compensation films includes providing PAR polyarylate; dissolving the PAR polyarylate in an solvent to obtain a polyarylate solution; applying the polyarylate solution on a substrate; and substantially removing the solvent from the polyarylate solution under a predetermined temperature to form an optical compensation film having a thickness of 1 .mu.m to 20 .mu.m. The optical compensation film is optically anisotropic and suitable for use in photoelectric flat displays.
