Abstract
A machine for producing and dispensing ice cream frappes or shakes comprises a unit for producing neutral ice cream and a unit for mixing the neutral ice cream with a flavoring syrup; the mixing unit consists of a cylindrical chamber leading into a truncated cone-shaped chamber with a rotor which whips and mixes the neutral ice cream with the flavoring syrup; a piston slides in the cylindrical chamber, dosing the ice cream and the syrup, which is fed into the cylindrical chamber by feed means comprising a syrup container, a hose, a peristaltic pump acting along the hose and a lip valve; the hose and the peristaltic pump being positioned in the machine base.
