Abstract

Compounds that may be used for the treatment or prevention of a condition associated with T-cell proliferation or that is mediated by pro-inflammatory cytokines are of formula (I): wherein R.sub.1 is CHR.sub.4--OR.sub.5 or CHR.sub.4--SR.sub.5, or aryl or heteroaryl optionally substituted with one or more groups R.sub.6; R.sub.2 is alkyl or is part of a ring with R.sub.3; R.sub.3 is H, alkyl or CH.sub.2 (when forming part of a ring with R.sub.2); R.sub.4 is H or alkyl or is part of a ring with R.sub.5; R.sub.5 is aryl or heteroaryl optionally substituted with R.sub.7; each R.sub.6 is independently alkyl, CF.sub.3, OH, Oalkyl, OCOalkyl, CONH.sub.2, CN, halogen, NH.sub.2, NO.sub.2, NHCHO, NHCONH.sub.2, NHSO.sub.2alkyl, CONH.sub.2, SOMe, SO.sub.2NH.sub.2, Salkyl, CH.sub.2SO.sub.2alkyl or OCONalkyl.sub.2; R.sub.7 is R.sub.8 or (CH.sub.2).sub.nOR.sub.8, R.sub.9, CF.sub.3, OH, OR.sub.9, OCOR.sub.9, COR.sub.9, COOR.sub.9, CONH.sub.2, CH.sub.2CONH.sub.2, CN, halogen, NH.sub.2, NO.sub.2, NHCHO, NHCONH.sub.2, NHCONHR.sub.7, NHCON(R.sub.9).sub.2, NHCOR.sub.9, NHCOaryl, NHSO.sub.2Me, CONH.sub.2, SMe, SOMe Or SO.sub.2NH.sub.2; R.sub.8 is (CH.sub.2).sub.nOR.sub.9, (CH.sub.2).sub.nOR.sub.9, (CH.sub.2).sub.nCOOR.sub.9 or (CH.sub.2).sub.nCOaryl; R.sub.9 is alkyl or cycloalkyl; and n is 1 to 4; or a salt thereof.
