Abstract
The present invention refers to a process for the synthesis of (1-{1-(R)-(E)-{3-[2-(7-chloro-quinolin-2-yl)-vinyl]-phenyl}-3-[2-(1-hydro-xy-1-methyl-ethyl)-phenyl]-propylsulfanylmethyl}-cyclopropyl)-acetic acid or its salts, comprising the reaction between 7-Chloro-2-vinyl-quinoline and a compound of formula (I) wherein X is a halogen atom or a group of formula --OSO.sub.2R, wherein R is selected from the group consisting of CF.sub.3, tolyl, methyl and F;in the presence of a palladium based catalyst. The invention is also directed to intermediates compounds of the process.
