Abstract
Disclosed is method of treating or preventing an inflammatory condition, comprising administering to a person in need thereof an amount of a product derived from the plant Pistachia lentiscus var. chia effective to treat or prevent the inflammatory condition. In a preferred aspect the product is a dilution of the oily steam distillate of the resin. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising the product derived from the plant Pistachia lentiscus var. chia in a dilution of 10.sup.-5 or less.
