Abstract

A communication device has a reading unit, a wireless tag reading unit, a transmitting unit, a designating unit, a first determining unit, and a control unit. The a reading unit reads image data from an original document. The original document has a first wireless tag including first wireless tag data. The first wireless tag data includes first copying number data having first number of time for allowing copying the original document. The first number is more than or equal to zero. The wireless tag reading unit reads the first wireless tag data from the wireless tag. The transmitting unit transmits the image data. The designating unit designates second number of second communication device to which the image data is transmitted. The second number is more than zero. The first determining unit determines whether the first number is more than the second number. The control unit determines based on a determination by the first determining unit whether the transmitting unit is allowed to transmit the image data or not.
