Abstract
A system and method for facilitating the fixation of bone fractures is disclosed. The system includes an anchor component comprising a tip having a substantially planar surface and a pointed cutting edge and cutting threads. A flexible wire is attached to the anchor component and the anchor component is inserted into a first object, navigated through the first object, and embedded into a second object. The system may further include a cap that may be threaded over the wire, such that the cap is restricted from backwards movement.
