Abstract
The empty capsids of the infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV), VLP(−VP4), are characterized in that they are constituted only by assembly of IBDV pVP2 proteins and IBDV VP3 proteins. Said capsids have immunogenic activity and can be used in the manufacture of vaccines for protecting animals from the infection caused by IBDV, as well as in the manufacture of gene therapy vectors.
