Method for manufacturing floor panels with coupling parts, wherein the contour of this coupling part (6) is composed of at least two portions (18-19), characterized in that the method is applied for manufacturing at least two series (7-8) of floor panels (1), wherein the floor panels (1) in a first series (7) differ from the floor panels (1) in a second series (8) at least in that they have a different thickness (T) and that said two portions (18-19) in said series (7-8) of floor panels (1) are realized globally identical, however, mutually shifted.
