Abstract

The invention relates to a covering device, preferably for post-isolating the connection point of pipes, in particular district heating pipes. Said device comprises at least two cover shells (1, 2) which surround the pipes in the mounted state, and at least one connection means (3) for connecting the cover shells (1,2). The connection means (3) comprise at least one substantially hook-shaped engaging section (4) that is provided for a positive fit connection, at least in parts, having at least one maintaining section (5) enabling the covering shells to be braced against one another. A sealing element (14) is arranged between the covering device and a pipe, in the mounted state, and surrounds the pipe.
