Provided is an antibacterial brush material for make-up with long-lasting antibacterial properties, wherein the loss of the antibacterial agent through washing or the like is prevented by treating a synthetic fiber with a phenol compound and one or more quarternary ammonium salts selected from among: alkyl ammonium salts, alkyl benzyl ammonium salts, and alkyl pyridinium salts. Further provided is an antibacterial make-up applicator that uses the brush material.
