Abstract
A connector (30) is provided for receiving a free end of a suspended portion of coiled tubing (27) and a free end of an additional portion of coiled tubing to be coupled to the suspended portion. The connector (30) includes first and second gripping means for gripping said respective free ends of the coiled tubing portions, and coupling means (60, 62) for coupling said first and second gripping means together, wherein the connector is dimensioned such that, when made up, it can pass through bores suitable for receiving the spoolable medium.
