When a binding energy value of an electron on a Sn 3d5/2 orbital of a Sn atom in the negative electrode active material for an electricity storage device is defined as Pl and a binding energy value of an electron on a Sn 3d5/2 orbital of a metal Sn is defined as Pm, (Pl−Pm) is 0.01 to 3.5 eV.
