Abstract
A scroll-type fluid machine (1, 88) in which a fixed scroll (8) and a movable scroll (10), in consort, demarcate a compression or expansion chamber (60) of a lubricant-containing working fluid, the fluid machine having a housing (4) provided with a port (16) through which the working fluid passes, and a pedestal section (62) in which the port opens, and which is applied with thrust load on the back face (64) side of an end plate (10a) of the movable scroll due to the demarcation of the compression or expansion chamber. The pedestal section has a groove (72, 90) formed in a region including an opening of the port.
