Abstract
A vehicle battery charger includes a pair of battery terminal clamps and a light source disposed on one or both of the terminal clamps. The terminal clamps are coupled to a battery charging base unit via cabling and configured to be secured to terminals of a battery, in order to convey electrical power from a charging power supply disposed in the base unit to the battery. The light source, powered by a separate power supply than the charging power supply, is used to provide illumination of the battery so that the terminal clamps may be correctly attached to the battery terminals.
