The method for manufacturing an electrophoresis display device suppresses deterioration of adhesion between the upper surface of a structure and a counter electrode substrate and improving durability. The method includes: forming a plurality of cells on a first electrode substrate, each of the cells being composed of an insulating structure; heating a film base material with a thermoplastic adhesive layer formed on the surface, wherein the film base material is in contact with the upper surface of the structure and peeling the film base material wherein the adhesive layer is softened, thereby transferring the adhesive layer to the front surface of the structure; filling the cells with the electrophoresis ink; and bonding the upper surface of the structure and a second electrode substrate to each other while heating the upper surface and the second electrode substrate at a temperature lower than that in the adhesive layer transferring step.
