A method for filling containers with liquid content using a filling machine includes partially evacuating a container before filling it, and pre-heating said liquid content to a filling temperature by using a negative pressure supplied from a pump operated with a sealing liquid to discharge, into said liquid content, thermal energy accrued from cooling of said sealing liquid.
