Abstract
An injection joint for a socket and pipe end pipe joint, which includes a socket, a pipe end inserted into the socket with a gap therebetween, and an flange ring capping the socket. Flange rings are disclosed which include an injection port and/or a slit. Injection joints may provide a recess in the pipe OD into which the flange ring is received, the recess functioning to stop travel of the flange ring during injection and widening the gap to facilitate adhesive travel. The split in the ring facilitates mounting the ring into the recess and functions as exit port.
