Abstract
Disclosed are systems methods and apparatuses enabling variable brokerage fees on a transaction. In particular, a market value for a brokered service is determined based on various objective and subjective metrics. The brokerage service compares a calculated market value against the requested fee for the service to determine whether there is a differential. If there is a differential, value present in the differential can be used to adjust the brokerage fee up or down. Additional factors can be considered in determining the variable fee or differential include, the popularity of the brokered service, the location of the brokered service, particularized needs of a given client for the service, and the mix of providers to customers currently available to the brokerage. The disclosed system is particularly advantageous for determining brokerage fees for in-home service providers.
