Abstract
A method is provided for transmitting a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) header from a first nodal point to a second nodal point via a radio communication network. The radio network is a Long Term Evolution (LIE) network. The method includes: modifying the MPLS header by reducing the size of the MPLS header; and transmitting the modified MPLS header from the first nodal point to the second nodal point via an air interface using a dedicated radio bearer.
