Abstract
A method for controlling injection of a reductant into an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes determining the temperature and pressure of reductant supplied to a reductant injector. The method also determines a maximum reductant flow rate as a function of the reductant temperature and pressure and controls operation of the injector as a function of the maximum reductant flow rate.
