Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for detecting a position or movement of an object (20). According to the method, at a plurality of different locations (13-15) infrared light emitted from the object (20) is received. The infrared light is based on a thermal emission of the object (20). Furthermore, a plurality of infrared light intensity information (A-C) is determined. For each of the plurality of different locations (13-15) a corresponding infrared light intensity information (A-C) is determined based on the infrared light received at the corresponding location (13-15). The position or movement (21, 22) of the object (20) is determined depending on the plurality of infrared light intensity information (A-C).
