Abstract

Various embodiments are directed to using two or more image sensors in tandem, one configured with a narrower field of view that overlaps a portion of a wider field of view of another. An device includes a first image sensor to capture a first image of a scene with a first field of view, a second image sensor to capture a second image of the scene with a second narrower and substantially overlapping field of view, a processor circuit and a storage storing instructions causing the processor circuit to operate the first image sensor to capture a first image of the scene, and operate the second image sensor substantially in unison with the first image sensor to capture a second image of the scene that overlaps the first image.
