Abstract
A ventilation system for use with a waste receptacle and a trash bag disposed within the waste receptacle, defining an airspace between the trash bag and an inner surface of a waste receptacle wall. In one embodiment a U-shaped ventilation clip is positioned over a peripheral edge portion of the waste receptacle. A fluid channel extends through the ventilation clip between an interior opening, which is in open fluid communication with the airspace, and an outer opening, which is in open fluid communication with an airspace exterior to the waste receptacle.
