Abstract
A game machine is provided. The machine comprises a display and a controller. The display is configured to display a plurality of symbol cells displayed in a grid. The grid defines a plurality of columns, each column having an associated reel, each reel having an associated reel strip, each reel strip including a plurality of symbol positions and a plurality of game symbols displayed in each of the symbol cells in a predetermined order, and an insertion symbol strip, the insertion symbol strip having at least one identical insertion symbol. The controller is configured to randomly select an insertion point along the first reel strip and place the insertion symbol strip at said insertion point.
