Abstract
The invention relates to a method (31) for shaping a workpiece (2), in which the workpiece (2) is brought into contact with a tool (3) and, lying against the tool (3), is moved at a relative velocity (vR) in relation to the tool (3), wherein the relative velocity (vR) has a constant component (vK) and a changing component (vS). In order to reduce fabricating or shaping forces to be applied, it is provided according to the invention that a ratio of the changing component (vS) to the constant component (vK) is greater than or equal to 0.7.
