Abstract
A medical tube comprising a copper-based compound, which is relatively inexpensive, is easy to process, is not toxic, and has excellent antibacterial activity, comprises: a tube comprising a polymer resin and having a predetermined shape and diameter; and a copper-based compound coated on the surface of the tube or dispersed in the polymer resin of the tube, wherein the compound has a chemical structure of CuxMy, wherein M is any one selected from groups 15 to 17 of the periodic table, and x/y is 0.5-1.5.
